2012 A6 Secondary Radiator
I have a 2012 Audi A6 3.0 that suffered damage to the secondary radiator (located immediately behind grill). A pinhole developed (presumably from a road hazard). My service manager indicated that he has ordered this part many times for a model that is one year old. I believe that this radiator is susceptible to damage and worried that the situation will reoccur. The damage was pinhole sized, but required replacement of the radiator. Anyone experience a similar issue?

Let me mention a few other things that are similar in nature, Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, and Megan Fox making me pancakes tomorrow morning, all possible but not likely.
This sounds like a story. A pinhole? It would have dent if it got hit and you would have notice the impact. And do you have chipped paint on the hood or bumper, or any cracked/chipped headlights. No, so the debris is only hitting the radiator? My 98 A6 has 200k with a lot of high speed highway driving and my radiator has never leaked, it has a lot of dents and dings.
If it is under warranty, I guess it does not really matter what he says, but if you are paying because that is considered damage, it sounds like they are avoiding a warranty claim.

Trust me, I threw a fit when they told me it was a road hazard. I pointed out what you had mentioned (no damage elsewhere, the pinhole size of the hole, etc.) I explained how I could not endure another maintenance nightmare (my previous Q7 was problematic) and they ultimately submitted by offering me "courtesy money". They didnt have a loaner available either so they put me in an A8 demo car. Criswell Audi in Annapolis definitely took care of me in this case. I am worried about the next time...
