So I finally installed the 4" tips I bought from Magnaflow about3 months ago. I wasn't sure of the 4" and am contemplating returning them for the 3". Please let me know what you think. I have to admit the 4" is growing on me. Here are some pictures. Without the resonator it really sounds good -- same at idle but a lot meatier through hard acceleration. No drone whatsoever in the cabin. Now it sounds like a V8 car. The resonatorwas takenoff 6 months ago and that cost me $80. The tips were installed for $100. The tips themselves cost $75. All together I spent $255. Not bad huh?

IMHO 3" is best, but whatever suits your tastes.

 

Personally, I think a 4" tip is overkill on a German car. Honda ricer... sure. But each to their own.

I have 2.75" tips, and am quite happy with them.

 

I have the 4 inch magna flows on mine as well. I wanted the 3's but I have the angle tips and they only came in 4 inch. I like them. You got your resonator removed, I want to do that. If I ask a mechanic to remove will they know what I am talking about?

 

Don't go extreme like those wannabe ricers. If they see you with a 4 inch tip, they'll go out and buy one that glows at night or has neon lights around it. Go with a 3 inch or less to give it that sleeper look
