Default A-6 Dash Brake Indicator

The Brake light symbol is illuminated on my wife's A-6
The pads were changed less than a year ago, the fluid is full and the brakes work perfect.
I know there is a wire on the front brake pads; is there also one for the rears?
Trying to limit where I have to focus my attention.
What else could cause this light on the dash to illuminate if it is not pads or fluid?
Thank you,
Kurt

I believe I remember there being a rear pad sensor wire. Our bmw has an intermittent pad warning light. The connector is corroded, it we clean it up it fixes it for a couple of months.

Check out the pad wire connectors and maybe put some di-electric grease in there to keep out the moisture.
