Checked the forum for issues like this and couldn't find any similar so here's the situation. My wife took her A6 out yesterday and just up the road it starting to buck and spit some white smoke from exhaust. The car hadn't been driven in two days and it's been raining non-stop for 3 days, is something wet? Car seems to run fine with the exception of the white smoke. Any thoughts? Thanks a bunch!

Does it "run fine" or does it "buck"?

In either case, it sounds terminal. Take it to a mechanic. Prepare for bad news.

Hey Bob,

My first thought was head gasket, but I threw 2 containers of isopropyl in just for the sheer volume of rain recently and no bucking, no white smoke. I realize this could change at any minute. I also loosened the overflow coolant tank and nothing appears to blowing anywhere. Just cross the wifes fingers because she likes the car and I really don't want to go through "I hate that color" again.
