Need some help with this. Have a 96 A6 Q and can't seen to reset the memory seats. I brought it used and every time I try to set the memory, it goes to the last setup for each button.

According to the manual, you push the on off switch so it is in (on) set up your adjustments, Press the memory button and hold it down, while holding, press the # you want. that is on the 97 but I will guess you are the same. I think when I did mine it was kind of tricky, like I had to hold both for about a second. Not too sure, but it auto resets if change it. Car does not need to be on, and actually if the car is on and the door is open it will run the memory seat to its last mem position. To reset your remotes if you have them, set up memory. Get on the memory you want. door open. press # you are set up for. while pressing number, press the unlock button on the remote (I had to toggle lock unlock)
