Default seat memory

So here is the deal....I purchased my 1999 A6 and it didn't come with a owners manual. So far I have been fine but I would like to know how to set the seat memory because my mom likes to take my car out without me knowing and then she changes everything around seeing as I am just over 6 feet tall and she is justaround 5'8". I tried to order a manual online but they charged our credit card but never sent the item. If anyone knows of where to get a manual that would be great and some help would be nice too thanks!

Hold down the Memory button and one of the numbers 1, 2, or 3. For a few seconds...its how I got it to work

If you can see the word STOP lit up, the seat won't move. Just like Mini said, set the seat where you want it and hold theM buttonand 1,2, or 3 button down at the same time for a few seconds. It should work for you unless something is wrong with the switch.
