99 A6 Avant ATF Check help?
THis is my first time doing this type of matnace my car. after I changed the
fluid and switched out the filter, I went under the hood looking for a resovaur for my transmition fluid.
It was not thier so I did some research and I had to use a suction pump to pump fluid up into the tranny,
until the fluid would come out. I did this then went through the gears 3 times. ALl in all I used 4.5 liters of fluid,
but I can't get any more into the transmition. I would like some feedback, and Piece of mind. The car is running fine, and shifts much better.
WQhen I went to AUDI they gave me 6 Liters, I did not use it all so I am looking for some feedback.
THanks

Thats about the right amount of fluid for the work you did. The only way to really check is with a scan tool thou. You have to have the vehicle running, when fluid is just barely dripping out of the fill hole with the trans temp at 35-45 degrees celcius it is the proper level. If you filled it up with the vehicle off, then its most definatly underfilled.
