Default A6 2.7T - metal brake lines?

I searched this forum for information on replacing the OEM brake lines with metal, but although a couple posts mention doing it, there was no information on parts kits or sources. I'm thinking of doing this when I have my brake fluid changed.

Has anyone recently replaced all their brake lines? Were you able to find a kit or did you make (size) the lines yourself?

I've seen kits for the A4 but none for the A6. Any [constructive] advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reference. Follow up question: Has anybody used the ECS brake lines or any other stainless steel brake line? If so, did it firm up the pedal? Any fitment issues?

theres 0 need to replace lines with braided lines unless its a track or autocross or a generally race car. you'll be wasting money, just use OEM if yours are won out

However, the braided steel ones are less expensive than OEM (especially from a dealer).

I've got the coin, because I'm the idiot who finds the car runs the same on midrange gasas premium. And since I'm going to have the brake fluid flushed as is called for at 80k miles, I figured I'd replace the lines at the same time since the car has 96k miles.

To reiterate - has anyone installed stainless steel braided lines and what is the driving experience?

the braided ones are the flexies not the system lines original are high pressure rubber which need to flex with turning and suspension movement so steel would break in no time,

which are we talking about? flexi or system lines
