Hi guys,
I drive this wonder car (Mileage 106.000) but recently experiencing some problems getting it going. I turn the ignition and it starts instantly only to fade out and switch off after a second or two. I keep trying and after 3-4 attempts it starts and drives perfectly. What is wrong with this thing? Please help!!!!

 

Best advice purchase a VAGCOM and CD formated manual. Read the fault codes and you will most likely find your answer.

 

Trying to diagnose this issue with the amound of info you provide is like trying to do surgery over the phone. Suggest you check the appropriate regional forum here or on audiworld.com to find a good, well respected independent mechanic who specializes in Audi. Have them take a look at it. When you're dealing with a more specific problem, c'mon back. We'll leave a light on for ya.

 

This may be very left field but that sounds like what happens when you try to start the car with the plastic key. Possibly the battery in your transponder key is going out and the car is not receiveing a signal from the key?
