Question A6 3.0 wont start

I have a 2002 Audi A6 3.0 Quattro, it is nearly impossible to get info on. Everytime I try to start my car it turns over but thats it. I try priming the fuel pump but it only primes every other time. When I just hold the key over it sounds like its trying to run but its almost like its not getting enough fuel. someone plz help.

If getting starved for fuel, 1st thing I'd do is make sure I have a clean fuel filter.

That Fault code relates to the engine speed sensor which also works as a crank angle sensor.
The possible problems are

Engine Speed Sensor (G28) loose Engine Speed Sensor (G28) faulty

Search google images for 'location of G28 sensor Audi a6'

On the 2.7 engine they say it won't start if speed sensor is bad. Likely 3.0 has same issue.
