01 A6 4.2 tranny died or is giving limp mode issues,after a couple of thumps from the TQconv while slowing to a stop.Not mad at all,secretly hoped this would happen so ican do the 6speed swap.Im looking for any shop that has done this before in the CT,MA,NY area as the car will need transporting there . Ive been emailing Audis4parts there out of tuscan AZ about there swap kit they reffered me to a company Tyrolsports in NY that can handle the job check them out online.They also mentioned a shop in MA but NY is closer and more familiar to me.Ill be getting there(Audis4parts) swap kit and have it shipped to Tyrolsports for install it isnt cheap but its a better option than a auto rebuild and about the same price give or take a few,but the finish product should be comparable to any BMW 540i with a 6 speed.Good Luck
