Hello, New 2001 A6 member, thanx in advance for any suggestions.

Driving in a heavy rain, hear some unusual water noise. Thought nothing of it. Next morning I had soaked carpeting. I checked all windows and seals, everything above appears dry. Firewall?

Search the forum for water damage - there is plenty of info - from plugged drains-TCM failure to the class action case.

 

Hope you figured it out by now, I had the same problem, turned out to be the drainhole under the battery was plugged and it filled up and the water leaked past the A/C lines and ended up in the passenger side of the car about 4 inches after a big storm.
