My Air Bag fault light just came on in my 96 A6. Any ideas as to why this has happened or what I may need to do to fix it?
New (used) Audi owner

 

you need to plug ecu in, that will tell you what and WHERE prob is. i cut a seat belt tensioner sensor once (ooops) i repaired it but light didnt go out, it gotta be reset by vag-com. i got lead from florida (me in uk) downloaded vag software and cracked it so i get full use, cost me £30 less than quote from garage to reset

 

I got my air bag light checked and the shop says I need a new Air Bag Control module. It's about $600 just for the part from the dealer and I can't find it anywhere on the internet.
