A6 Avant rear deck light change?
Another issue with the Avant; I too thought I had a blown light on the rear passenger side. Audi, in their great wisdom, only put ONE rear fog light in the tail of the Avants. Check your owners manual if this is the case with your car.
If not, you need to just pry the cloth portion away with say a screwdriver. On mine, 1997 Avant, just a portion about 4-6 inches wide folds back for light replacements.

It has to do with EU fog light regulations and I rarely use the rear foglight anyways.
