A6 Blower Control Problem

A6 Blower Control Problem
Hello, I have the 1998 A6, 2.8L, 30 valve. Non quatro. With solar sunroof (first owner in Florida). The blower motor controls and the off switch are not working. The blower will only run at full speed. In ECON or Auto Mode. The AC is working, and when I go to ECON the a/c goes off. The 3 vent control options work normally. It ran like that for 25 minutes. Then again after car was off for 45 minutes. In auto mode temp controls works, I raised temp and AC turns off (blower still running), lower temp and air gets cool.
About two years ago I had to replace the blower motor resistor part number 4B0820521. I got one from a junk yard.
I have searched this site and web and have found other issues, mostly related to a bad solar relay, or blower motor out, but nothing like this. Any suggestions what is causing this?
Also I tried to get the codes, but was no clear info on that process. I pressed the Recirculate button and hold, then press the "up arrow" (windshield) vent button and get these numbers on the displays left 22-right 01, then left 08-right 06, those keep repeating until I press the auto button the the displays go back to normal. Thanks.

Blower Motor Resistor
I was able to fix the problem. I bought a new Blower Motor Resistor from AM-Autoparts on ebay. Lets just say it was a lot cheaper than the $565 price quoted to me by the dealer.
I removed the glove box, three screws along the top inside and two on the bottom under the glove box. (NOT the screws holding the hinge) Lower the glove box (you do not need to pull it out), remove one screw holding the part, remove the connecting wire by pinching the clip. It may stick so just work it out. Push connector into new part. Slide part into place into place and put screw back in. Check is firmly in place. Test AC/Blower/Heater. Replace glove box.
I posted some pictures in my photo gallery.
