Let's start with that I've always had the flickering CCU display. It always worked but the display didn't show up a lot of the time, I got used to it, knew what it was set at and knew how to use it. At first the display rarely stayed on, so I pulled the bitch out and resoldered a few connections and it stays on for 90% of the time now.

The other day, the fan decided to sporadically not work, maybe more often then sporadic. If I smack the **** out of the dash it usually kicks on. It doesn't matter if it's on AUTO, MAN or what the fan speed is at, it just won't kick on until I beat the **** out of the dash.

You obviously have a loose connection, either in the switch or at the fan motor itself.

 

Don't know if you happened to see my post today... but a similar situation as yours. Have you checked your turn signals and headlights to see if they are working? At first I thought only the blower was my problem... now I realize it's much more.
Let me know if you figure it out.

 

get a test light..and find the loose conection.

 

Everything else works fine, just the blower that doesn't.

I guess I'll have to see if I can get to anything without pulling the dash. [&:]
