I have a 2003 a6 2.7 t and my brake caliper is stuck on the caliper harness. I cannot get it off. I have tried hitting it with a hammer. The fasteners that hold the caliper to the harness have been removed but I cannot get the caliper to disengage from the rotor and the harness. Any suggestions?

 

Sometimes the lip on the rotor dosent allow the pads to come off. If i'm changing the rotors I just pry them off. Sometimes I use a grinder and remove the lip but that is messy. and unless your careful you'll mess everything up.
