Default a6 brake problems need advise

just bought a6 130 sport tdi in black ..having never driven a a6 i did not know what too expect . my problem is the brakes dont seem to be savage enough . i thought they would put my nose on the window screen when brakes are applied???? but the car seems to brake like a old trawler? as though all wheels are braking evenly .and all the car dips down?????/ have had car to a garage . brakes are 87%ok ....last owner replaced disks and pads. but has he fitted correct size front disks????? . he also said pads where marked on box as peugot 406 1997 as shop told him they are the same??? could anybody tell me correct size front and rear disks sould be. and could my problem just be wrong pads with wrong compound being fitted.... please help before i strain a muscle in my leg

Get drilled and slotted rotors, bigger calipers (6-8 piston kit) and ceramic pads.....that should improve things a bit. Sounds like you are in Europe- I couldn't even begin to tell you where to go to get it done.

Probably used a cheap compound. Switch to a high quality pad. It still won't paste your nose to the windshield. It is, after, a 4000 pound vehicle!
