OK so after plenty of head scratching (yes and the splinters that go with it!!) It seems to be an earth problem with the drivers side interior light switch which has now been taken out of its "home" and left inside the door pillar with an earth wire attached to the door and the interior light switched off in the car.

Will try the fuse box, but the good news is that the light has not come on for 3 days now!!

mystrodo -- your the one that knows how to check out what ground means --

My guess it that it has something to do with dirt and earth!
Maybe in his door!
He probably needs to reconnect his earth at the door.

sorry to jack this thread, but I have an 04 A6 s-line and the e-brake light flashes and beeps when its cold outside everytime i turn to the right and accelerate. Any ideas? or does this mean my fluid is low since it only does it while everything is cold. Soon as I drive it more than 15 minutes and warm it up (ie...brakes, engine, cockpit) it won't happen again.

Any help !please! its super annoying

Thanks in advance ~ Ben
