I don't know -- but if you question the amount of brake fluid - check it and let us know.

Soon as I drive it more than 15 minutes and warm it up (ie...brakes, engine, cockpit) it won't happen again.

Any help !please! its super annoying

Thanks in advance ~ Ben

MY 1998 a6 had same problem, flashing brake light, 3 beeps, oil light on and the tach. stopped working, It is the ABS module. I got a guy here in Boise who fixes them for 250.00. A deal for sure. He guarantees his work for 2 years. He did mine, no more problems. PM me if you want it fixed

ABS module huh... The fluid level is good. not topped but when I drop the new brakes on I'm sure it will be. Was thinking of a flush anyways.

Thanks vanbragt, I'll keep in touch after I do the brakes if I have the same problem I will hit u up for his number.

Thanks guys! ~ Ben

Steve did you ever get this problem fixed? I have an audi A6 and my abs warning light and alarm randomly goes off. I also took mine to two different mech. and nothing showed up on either diagnostic (not reg. on the cars computer they said). The light is reset every time I turn the engine off, then as I am driving it will randomly light up and the alarm will sound, and sometimes turn back off again after a while in the same trip. I read somewhere about the ABS sending unit on Audis from ?-2001 had problems with this unit.

Hiya

I kinda found it, but by accident! It seemed the problem was with my drivers side interior light switch as everytime i closed the door (which made driving an awful lot easier!! ) the warning light would come back on. I have a new switch and it has cured the problem and none of the lights come on. My problem though was not with the orange ABS light but the red caution light above it with the exclamation mark which kept coming on.

Hope this helps and good luck

Steve
