I heard it can be quite problematic to change any lights ...

Would it be OK to replace the fog grille with functioning fog light with a DRL grille?

I assume the DRL lights in the grille would be connected with the daylight/parking light held inside the main headlight ... which would require the fog light circuit to be closed off since no longer functional?

Would that initiate fog light error alerts?

Clearly I'm not very familiar with all of this and would appreciate the advice.
