I ahve a 2.7 tip with the APR chip. It has phenominal top end but the thing won't launch. My guess is that its the weight of the car coupled with turbo lag and a really short first gear. I"ve tried torque braking a little, it only helps a little. Anyone know of any way to get a better launch? N2O spool kit perhaps or maybe a trans upgrade just to help the shift speed and maybe allow me to torque brake a little more?Any ideas will do.

 

Need to source a more performance oriented torque converter for one thing...but doing so will probably reveal other weakpoints in the drivetrain real quick.

 

As a note the race gas tune made a big difference. 93octane tune was 1/8mile in 9.7 at 74MPH, 104 octane was 1/8 mile 9.32 seconds at 77.7MPH. Wish I had a 1/4, it pulls hard at the top end
