I have a bad leather tear in my driver's seat. I have a 1999 A6 Quattro 2.8 with tan leather (has the wood trim / leather on the door panels... was told it is a less common interior). While it might could be fixed, other places in the seat are cracking. Who knows where to get a new seat (at least the cover, at least the seat-part), for not too much money? Audi wants like 500 just for the cover.

eBay. Google. Classified here and at other Audi forums. Also, check out the following URL: Stoney's Links. It's the ultimate A6 ling page and resource guide. You'll find a section on parts. There are places that "part out" wrecked cars. That's another option to pursue that will be cheaper than going to Audi on this.

Actually, I thought I saw a posting on ebay for some tan leather A6 seats when I was searching around. Not sure if they would fit you '99, but worth checking into. It was for front and rear seats.
