Default A6 fuse problem...

Really need help...the fuse for windows, sunroof and interior lights keeps popping, brought to audi they replaced central locking and still does not work...also on the dash it looks like passenger and rear doors are open but they are not. Do not know what else to do as the Audi dealer basically gave up!!

Did they say if it looked like any water had gotten into the central locking module? Have you had any issues with water getting into the front drivers and passengers floor area?

You need to inspect the wiring harness that runs along the drivers door sill under the carpeting and where it goes across under the drivers seat. also do the same on the passenger side in the same areas. Hidden inside of the harness are butt splices they have a rubber cap on them and if at some point they did get water in them the cap retains the water and causes them to corrode and the butt splice falls apart. when this happens the wires can fall out of the cap and short out to the body.

the usual area for this to happen is right along the drivers dor under the carpet but there are splices in the other areas that I mentioned you really have to unwrap the insulation and check them closely tug on the wires that gointo the splices individually as it only takes one of these very fine gauge wires to be loos to cause you fits.

Hope this helps.
