A6 turns over but won't start
My wife's A6 won't start. The first wrong thing noticed was water being retained in the cabin blower housing - you could hear the fan splashing in water. After three days of rain the car won't start. It does crank but a buzzer sounds in the cockpit while the "OK" lights up. Any ideas? Is this a moisture related problem or are these two separate issues? Thanks.
New info: this morining I had the A6 put on a roll back to take to the mechanic. It started but ran only 15 seconds or so. Apparently the two issues are not related. The running is due, I hope, to a bad alternator; the water due to plugged a/c vents. Both will be checked by the mechanic. Also, I'm having the cabin filter replaced.
I will let you know what the mechanic finds.
Thanks
