I feel the a6 vibrating pretty violently when I hit around 60 mph on the highway, Anythign under 40, it runs pretty much perfectly

I just recently got some 18 inch wheels installed. is the problem that they are not properly balanced?

I think my car was fine before the wheels, I just want to see some more opinions
I just had a new timing belt and the 90k mile tune up before I installed the wheels, (cost over $2000), so I would think that it is a problem with the wheels.

you should probably have your wheels and tires rebalanced.

 

If you didn't have a problem with the previous rims/tires and it just started when they were installed- then I would suggest rebalancing the new tires.

Problems from your TB change would show up in worse ways across all speeds, esp during acceleration.

Are you SURE they installed centering rings with the new rims? If they didn't it wouldn't matter if the wheels were as balanced as a $2,000 sig sauer pistol they would still vibrate.

 

Ya balanced like the 210 and balanced as well as by pair of 220's with extras.

 

thank you very much everyone, I talked to the guy at NTB, and he said it sounded liek a balncing issue as well.
I am going to take it in tommorow
also, andother quick question, could I put my old audi wheel logos on my new wheels?
