Default ABS / Brake Light Problem

My ABS and Brake light are on and won't go away. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?

Do a search on AudiWorld first - lots of good info there. There are some other possibilities besides your ABS control module. Had any work done in the wheel wells lately? This can be related to damage to the ABS sensors as well.

I have the same issue; mine is the ABS control module. I found a complete unit through a parts locator http://info.automotix.net/.
I'm going to have it rebuilt using one of the services on Ebay (search using Audi ABS); total cost around $400.00 including the wreckers unit. The ABS unit including pump carries a 6 month warrenty so I could just put it on the car and save $200.00 in rebuild costs but I'm sure it will go at some point so what the heck.

I have the same problem, the ABS light/flashing brake light only comes on when the car is accelerating. It never happens when the car is in motion. Just need to clean the sensors? The only thing that could have happened was I was driving fast in the rain but I was not braking hard, i was slipping on the acceleration (due to no tread on the tires).

Any great ideas?

(this is on the 2000 S4)

I brought my car to the dealer and they said it was the ABS module. I paid $450 for a new ABS module and the ABS/Brake lights went away so my problem is solved. But just out of curiousity. Has anyone ever dealt with ModuleMaster.com? If so how reliable is it.
