Hi guys I have a 97 a4 1.8t. Everytime I go over potholes or speedbumps the brake light flashes on my dashboard but I don't seem to know why? Any suggestions would be appreciated

 

When you go over potholes or speedbumps does it stay flashing or just for a second? If your ABS light is not also on with it, then I'd check your brake fluid level. Maybe it's low and the bumps are causing the fluid to slosh bellow the minimum level. I'd even suspect a short in the ebrake wire. As long as your BRAKE light and ABS light are not flashing at the same time then I think we can rule out the notorious ABS control module.

 

It. Just stays on for a second as I go over the speedbumps or potholes and no I have no other light on on my fashboard. Ill check the brake fluid when I get off eork thank you so much
