Exclamation ABS/ESP issue

Here we go again...

Just this morning I was thinking about selling my 04 A6 2.7T S Line (only had is for two months and it's set me back $3K) when the ABS/ESP light goes on.

I did a search but came up with very little. Can someone shed some light on what could be causing the warning lights for ABS/ESP to be triggered. I know the rear brakes are at about 5% (waiting on new rotors from a new supplier after Blauparts sent me warped ones)? could it be low fluid levels from the rears being so compressed and reservoir being low?

Got to get this fixed then off to the chopping block she goes.

Thanks in advance...

Check the fluid level first. Get the codes read to see what the problem really is, then you will know what to do.

Thanks oldmots,

No codes were triggered, fluid is fine and after sitting overnight, lights are off and have not come back. WTF?

This car is determined to give me a stroke! Too bad because she's fun to drive and looks nice but it's like gremlins live under the hood.

Perhaps it is a time to adopt a behavior towards paying little attention to the lights-trust your heart and driving experience. Have a handy scanner and clear the codes once they appear - gremlins, eh!
