I have a '99 A6 2.8 and the ABS light is on while the brake light blinks. I checked brake fluid and it is full, but not over the max. Any thoughts on what the problem could be? Thanks.

 

you need to get it checked for fault codes, whats the break pads like for ware?

 

I do plan to get it checked. Rotors and pads are new in the last 20k. I hope I am not looking at a big $$ repair.

I had simular problem. ABS light came on and my brake light blink. I've took mine out (http://www.modulemaster.com/audiabsremoval.html) and sent it in to get it rebuilt (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-Pa...mZ230053293695). It cost me $199.00 total $179.00 for the re-build and $20.00 for UPS shipping. I've had the re-built ABS on for about 2 weeks now and it works GREAT!!!

 

Mikeko: Your suggestion was a good one and it saved me $600based on the audi quote. My rebiult unit has been infor about 10 days and is working fine. Thanks.
