Does anyone know where the normal air filter is located? I thought I had it but when I went up to the auto parts store, they gave me something totally different than what I thought it was. I found a filter that just sat in a tray towards the front of the car. Am I looking at the wrong filter. Does it take a rocket scientist to get the air filter out and replace? Any help would be awesome. I have this filter now and I have no idea if it's right or wrong?

 

while looking at the motor from the front of the car, it is on the left hand side, there are 4 clips that hold it down, you might have to finagle some of the vacuum lines out of the way to get it accessible. it should take you like 15 minutes to do the filter. there is also a write up on how to do it correctly.

 

Thanks for the info! I saw it last night but didn't have time to go to town on it. Can anyone tell me what the filter is on the left hand side, towards the top of the engine? Mine is super dirty.

 

Are you talking about the one where you have to remove the big black plastic cover that cover the battery. If the filter is close the battery then its your cabin air filter. Other then that there should be not any other filters under the hood.
