Default airbag light?

i got up this morning and went out and started up my car to let it warm up for 10 minutes like i do every morning before i go to school (if i dont let the car warm for a few minutes up the check engine light will come on), i got in the car to leave and realized the airbag light was on. Ive never had this happen before. And this was the first morning that its literally been below 0 degrees outside since ive owned the car. Is there anything i should look for or a fuse to check or something?

You need to run a VAGCom to see what is going on.. The airbag light means it is not being armed for some reason.

I would be concerned that the CEL comes on when you drive without warming up a little.

the codes ive gotten from the cel is for the secondary air injection being too low on one side. and its been looked at and the cheap plastic connectors on the valves behind the motor seem to be worn. but why would the airbag light just randomly be on now. its just weird. i thought the cold weather might have screwed it up. but it hasnt come off yet like my check engine light does.

No clue on the air bag -- I had an airbag light on an 89 QT200 that would take a few minutes to go out ( I was told it was because the sensor was going bad and it was taking a long time to arm itself.) Finally it would not go out so I just removed the bulb...

The secondary air injection is a common problem - 90% of the time it is bad vacuum lines requiring a few minutes and a couple $ worth of parts to fix

Airbag lights can be triggered by back seat passenger's, the wiring goes directly under the front seats, so when people ride in back they can kick the wiring. It happens all the time in my A4. There is also a TSB to repair wiring in the back of the driver seat for an airbag related concern. It could also be a bad airbag too.
