Hi,

Had A6 for about 6 months after buying it second hand. Alarm worked for 1 month. Water leaked into the car as my Air Con unit had a leak in the seal. Never worked since!! Taken car to local garage and have been the unit that controls alarm etc. is indicating a fault. Would I need to get this unit replaced? Is it expensive?

 

The other week i drove through a monsoon of a rainy day,and that buggered up my alarm.Took it to audi and they said the the driver door lock and the alarm unit itself had packed up.
For the door lock supplied & fitted was £205
For the lock & alarm unit it was £495...........................ouch

So im on rashons till its paid for now.........................
