I have 97 A6 and its alarm went off in the middle of the night waking up all the neighbors, and the car was not even locked!!!! What is going on? I turned the alarm off, and it goes off again in about every 5 mins.

After struggling with it for 30 min, I just took out the battery. Can anyone help me with some info? Thanks.

 

Does your car have the option to disable the interior sensors? The button on the inside of the drivers side door panel? Try turning that off for a temporary fix? How about the sensors in the doors and trunk? I've heard that sometimes they will get dirty and won't work? Sorry for the lack of help. Hope you can find the problem.

 

the internal sensor was setting my alarm off. so check that out..
