The better half set the alarm off on our 2003 A6 2.5TDi Avant this afternoon(left a window open ). We were in the house but didn't hear it,only noticed when she went out again and the indicators were flashing. Set it off again and the siren is very quiet. Is their a way of adjusting the volume on it? and also had noticed that it doesn't bleep when arming/dissarming is this normal?

mine is the same .. barely squakes while armimg ... i guess the horn is just getting old..

 

I share the same issue. Is there anyone out there that can help. Is it computer chip controlled, or is there a volume adjustment somewhere else?

 

Making it louder would be awesome, I'd love to hear about an option to do that. Unfortunately so far I've heard people only finding one solution: replace it with an aftermarket horn.
