All Season Suggestions???

RE: All Season Suggestions???
I live in Minneapolis and put on Goodyear Assurance Comfortred and feel they are the best all season tire I have ever had in the snow and rain for the money. They are definetly not a sports car tire, but then again no all season really is.

If you have the opt 17" 255 40 R17s for the4.2I've tried two all seasons tires that I think have worked very well.
Continental Conti-extreme Contact have worked very well for me in snow and rain.
The other tire that I have used and currently have on are Kumho ASXs.
My mechanic recommended these tires and so far I'm impressed.
They seem to have good traction as well as two very deep tracks in them for dispersion of rain.
Check them out on tire rack.

I was very happy with thePirreli P Zero Nero M&S on my 05 4.2. I have also heard good things about the Avons. You should check out the ratings at tirerack.com.
I have changed to dedicated summer and winter tires, big improvement.

I agree with the others, our bmw has Huhmo Asxs on them and we really like them. We take them off in the winter and put on snow tires since the bmw is rwd. The only downside is they are wearing really fast.

Very pleased with the Pirelli P6 All-Seasons that came with my A6. I use the car extensively around Michigan and Canadain the winter with two kids playing hockey. Lots of trip between Holland and Detroit, Midland, and Toronto.
The only other tire I would consider is the Blizzak as it is highly rated as a winter tire. But I am fortunate to have a second set of rims and "summer" tires.

Had Extremecontacts on a prior porsche and VR4, I liked them, a good compromise if you aren't going bonkers on corners in summertime. I have Toyo Proxes 4 on my Audi, figuring that ground clearance will be a bigger deal than tire selection for purposes of getting to my house in this car.
