I saw they have a turbo upgrade kit but its like 6k
I think 599 is a resonable price to add 50hp, just dont want to have any issues with the car after.

I recently had the APR chip upgrade installed on my '01 A6 w/2.7 T engine at Klaus Euromotors in Londonderry, NH (authorized APR dealer) and the results are stunning.

Low end torque truly outstanding. Acceleration at 40 mph is unbelievable. When driving the first time (actually leaving Klausafter the installation) I merged onto busy highway from onramp I was going almost 80 when I had first chance to look down at speedometer.

Engine even feels like it is running a bit smoother too. Cheap investment for great results. Klaus was timely with service appointment and very professional.

I have the APR chip in my 2000 A6 2.7T and its amazing. Runs 318/383 on 93 test. The power just amazed me when I bought the bar (car came chipped), the car pushes you back in your seat in gears 2-5 when you floor it, simply amazing. I would highly reccommed the APR chip, plus they do it in two days so your car isnt out of commission for too long.

I have a 03 Biturbo tiptronic which i would dearly love to chip. I wonder how many tiptronic trannys have been pulverised by this additional torque. Or is it still within wokable limits. Should one only be chipping the manual transmission ? Also the Audi guy says that the chips also fry the turbos. Any comments ?

The dealers dont like the chips and they obvisouly dont fry the turbos. Giac is going to be more aggressive and apr will be a stronger harder pull.
