Audi A6-2004 (new model) 2.0TDI - air con problems
Bought the car at 78,000 miles last year, now at 123,000 miles. Its the model which has climate control but it seems to have a mind of its own. It is always set at 19 degrees celsius apart from a few rare occasions. Whilst cool it will suddenly start heating up and very hot air comes out. The middle air vents are always cool but the outer vents and the vents on top of the dash will start pumping out warm heat. The A/c was re-charged initially because it was quite low and this cured the initial problem of lack of cooling from the central air vents.
The only cure at the moment is to turn up the temperature to HI let the inside of the car heat up (not very nice on warm days) and it will re-set itself OR stop the car, turn off the engine and re-start (difficult when travelling along on the motorway)
I have tried blowing the dust out of the sensor in the centre console and reaching through the grille with a soft brush without success.
Can anyone suggest anything as its now spoiling my enjoyment of a very good car.

A/C Gone nuts
Hi,
Spotted the previous problem description and I have *exactly* the same problem. It only started recently but is now becoming more prevalent.
My issue is precisely the same as the previous post and I am wondering if anyone can shed light on what it is.
My Audi is the A6 2006 Avant.
I've had it in to a mechanic to look at, but they informed they were unable to see any error codes from the car.... I know squat about this / whether they are looking in the right place.
I really want to try and find an answer to this, because to echo the previous post - it's killing an otherwise enjoyable experience with a great car.
Any information would be most welcome.
