just bought 2005 Audi A6 4.2 A lot of problems with electronic systems and sensors. only 36000 miles, i've got Service engine sign on and some other lights comming up too. check you audi before you buy it

 

nothing wrong with Audi, its the c6. the early lot from the 2005 are known to have problems. hang on to the company warranty.

 

I bought one of the first C6 4.2s in early 2005. It had a few "electrical glitches" in the begining but TSBs were issued and peformed and the car has been rock solid for the last year and a half. I suggest that you log onto the ebahn site and review the TSBs for the car. Print up the TSBs that relate to your problem and take them and your car to the dealer and have the work done while it is still under warranty.

With the TSBs performed, and proper maintenance, the C6 4.2 is a great car. You will enjoy it once you make up for the neglect of the prior owner.
