I have recently purchased a 2001 Audi A6 2.7T.I have noticed that not all three rear view mirrors dim during night driving. The interior andpassanger side mirrors dim, and the drivers side mirror does not. The dealership that bought it from says it is not suppose to dim, and I don't believe them.

Is this normal? Or how do I determine if it is not suppose to dim?

I have a 2001 a6 2.7t and all three of my mirrors, driver, passenger and rear view, dim at night.

 

Dealer is wrong (maybe they replaced that mirror with a non-dimming one and don't want to fess up?). All three should dim.

 

Thanks for the input. I took the mirror out and found the connector for auto dimmer tucked behind the motors. Plugged it in, and yes it works...
