Do I have this right on a 08 A6, if I turn on the fog lights, there is no way to shut off the tail light when shutting off the car without manaully shutting off the headlight with the switch. I tried hitting the lock button twice, usually that shuts off everything in most of my previous car, but not this one, the tail light stays on. So do I have to manually shut off the headlight everytime I turn on the fog light?

 

In my 05 4.2 the fog lights need to be turned off manually.

 

Same with my 08 A6. the fog light have to turn on manually and it can only be turn on when the headlight is in manual mode. With most car, you can turn on the headlight in manual mode and all the lights will still shut off after a delay or a double click of the fob. With the A6 the tail light and the marker lights stays on, I am guessing to remind you that the headlight is on. Its a silly concept if you ask me.
