Default Back into the brotherhood :D

Hi guys,

I just traded my Corvette for a 2001 Audi A6 4.2 on Saturday. It's been quite a while since I've owned an Audi (I had an 5000 and 4000S in the 90's). The only issues with it are the center LCD and the driver's side driving/fog light is out. I may give my soldering skills a test and try to fix the LCD but how in the heck do you get that fog light out to change it?

Thanks,

the grille around the fog light pops right off. pull it straight out. then a couple of screws and Bob's your uncle (don't know what that means but it seems to fit here based on how I have heard other people use it). Should be an H3 bulb.

You need to pull on the outside edge of the grill. It does not quite pull straight out, or, at least, it isn't designed to!

Center LCD is fading? or completely out? Fading is soldering issue. It is bit more complicated than straight soldering. Anyways, if is completely off, then a simple press on a button below the wiper stalk may resolve your issue.

It's not completely out, just unreadable, most of the lines are out so I can't tell what's supposed to be displayed. I googled it last night...the replacement is probably above my basic soldering skills.
