Battery Light flashes on
I had the car running, it was warming up. I put it into reverse, then the steering wheel vibrated and the car shut off, the battery light came on. tried it again, same thing. anyone?? I'm considering taking out the jumper cables... but I some how think that might not be the problem.
Well does it seem that the battery is being charged properly and that the alternator is working properly (which implies the previous question)? If your battery/alternator isn't the problem then you may have some electrical gremlins.
If you can check the voltage of the battery while the car is running, it should be around 13.8-14.2. If this is not the case then you may have a bad alternator :-/

Does the same thing happen when you go forward? It sounds like you are just stalling out, and the battery light would normally come on to show the ignition is on but the motor is not running.
If the car starts ok every time and shows 13.8-14.2 volts while idling, I doubt it is battery or alternator. You can put some load on the alternator while in park by turning on lights, brights, radio, running windows up and down and checking your voltimeter.

Thanks for your responses guys... I think ur right pp, it's stalling. I started it again today and its ok for a little bit and then it begins to shake. Then when i put it into drive it shakes more as it shuts off. The battery no longer goes on, but the check engine light now flashes.
any Ideas? I want to get it vagged but it doesn't drive... any help is appreciated to give me piece of mind.
