blown right side turbo
I can't really tell to be honest. I hear a whining sound on occation but I think its the secondary air pump not the turbo. Just another side note, since the engine is going to be out anyways I'm having the exhaust ports ported and polished and the exhaust mainfolds port matched. As well I'm getting both stock turbos hand polished. I doubt the gains will be noticable but hey, can't hurt.
I've owned a number of Saab turbos and they've all had oil in the charge pipes. My guess is that if you were to remove the left charge pipe you'd also find some oil residue. Seems to be like it's a function of the crakcase ventilation system, and not always an indication of ruptured seals.
Its very common for oil in the charge pipe, as a matter of fact it often collects in the bottom ov the intercoolers. However, in my case there was oil dripping from the turbo itself. I did hear a bit or a whining sound but I believe that is the secondary air pump.
