im looking to see what options i have for my 2001 a6 2.7t for a boost gauge location and who makes them. awe has gauges that go on the vent but it says its for the s4 i think so im not sure if itll fit. ive also heard someone makes one that mounts on the steering column which i would love to get but also heard it was for the s4 and doesnt fit the a6. if i could get something i have no problems modifying it to fit. does anyone know whats out there and is decent. pictures or links would be great!!

 

Unfortunatley our problem is that no boost gauge pod is being made for our car, I currently have mine installed in my driver side air vent, to the left of the steering wheel, I removed the louvres and placed the gauge in, finished it off with some cutom CF with slats dremmelled in to provide airflow

 

then what do you do? shove the wires down the air vent? where do they come out?

haha ok, well does anyone else have any info i was thinking maybe do the vent deal on the left vent but somehow rig up some type of clip or something that would clip the gauge onto it?

 

Check out Kievski over on AZ, he runs his pod on the top right defroster vent, looks slick, I would have put mine there, but being in a place which can easily get to -30C in the winter, I might need that vent

 

Someone should post a pic of a boost guage in an a6
