I have the same code problem but mine is a little more difficult. I cant get my radio out! I have had it to two stereo shops and the dealer yesterday. They all said im gonna have to break it and get a new one, found one cheap on ebay but....is there anyway to remove a stock head unit besides the obvious with the little tools

are you just trying to remove it and replace it ?? or are you trying to get your radio code to get radio out of safe code ??

well I need to get the radio out to get the serial number to get the code haha. I really dont want to replace my radio. It works and functions just fine, the guy I bought the car off of claims he already replaced the radio thats in my car and I looked all over and throughout the car and cant find it, the code that is, my thought was maybe he wrote it down, I dont want to replace the radio, alls i need is the serial number but I really dont have a choice at this point, I ordered the tools the other day but havent gotten them yet, damn usps. so like i said these guys i took it to couldnt get it out and thats why i posed the question if there is anyway to get the radio out or at least get the serial number off the radio other than the intended way.

at the same time push down the RDS and SCAN button the safe light will go off and the 1000 will come up then use the far left button to change the first number then second button for the next until all four numbers are what you want and then press down at same time the RDS and Scan button either the radio will come on or (if wrong) SCAN will come back up
