i just bought a 2005 audi a6 3.2 with bose surround sound. the right passenger side door speaker sounds like it might be blown. it makes a really annoying rattling noise. does anyone know wehre i could get a new speaker, or any other options i might have with the speaker?

RE: bose speaker
Similar to your other thread, I am still wondering why this is not covered by the 4 year warranty. With that said, and I know this is hard to believe, in the C6s Audi has installed the subwoofers in the front doors. As a result, the noise you are hearing may either be the speaker or the subwoofer. As far as a replacement, I would try e-bay, the dealer or a junkyard.

well i dont have the warranty anymore. my mileage is about 55k so its not under warrranty anymore. are there subwoofers in both doors?/ or just the passenger door. does anyone know of any websites that show you how to take the door panel off, or at least the speaker grill? im wondering if there might just be something in the speaker grill thats make the rattling noise.

RE: bose speaker
I believe that subwoofers are in both doors. From your various posts, and now knowing that you have 55K miles, I am concerned that my car is going to start falling apart in about a year.
