Hey everyone, newbie to the forum, but not to Audi.

I had a really crazy incident earlier today and desperately need to know what size bolt is used to hang the calipers on a 98 A6 2.8 Quattro. all help is appreciated.

ok, the problem is, I am sitting in a parking lot with no tools and the top hanger bolt has apparently wiggled its way out. So the caliper is leaning against the rim when I drive, Im sure you can imagine the horrible sounds/feel I am getting from the car. I just had some brake service done, I am assuming they didnt tighten it up. I cant get under the card enough to see the marking on the bottom bolt.

 

and before anyone else asks, I am on a laptop inside a Starbucks. Pretty good day I have going so far

 

What ended up happening here? Did you get it tightened down a bit so you could drive? I would just call that service station seriously pissed off and demand they pick you up, fix the repair work they mucked up, and check the rim for damage as well, and demand it be replaced if any damage was done. That is rediculous!
