1998 A6 Quattro 169k

My front brakes make a lot of noise, but there is at least 50% of the pad left. I have to change them out to get the squeak to stop but I have a few questions.

- Brake pad wear sensors: Can I reuse the sensors from the current pads or do I have to order new wear sensors?

- Which brake pad brand will give good stopping power without the squeak? I have been told that the OEM pads make more noise. Are ceramic pads better on this car?

- Is changing the front pads much different from the rear, other than the wear sensor? I have changed out the rear pads because they were the cause of the squeak about a year ago.

I don't want to super high end on the pads, just a good all around ceramic pad that will stop the squeak.

Any advice is appreciated, trying to keep this car running.
