FWIW, I installed new rear pads & rotors on my Avant last night. The ATE rear pads that I installed only 10mo/21k miles ago were worn down to ~2mm and my rotors were below 9mm. This time I decided to go with a less aggressive set-up...SatisfiedPro Ceramic pads & Centric rotors(purchased from The Tire Rack). So far, they seem to have a decent amount of initial bite with some noticable fade. But I suppose that's to be expected with any "long-lasting" brake pad. The rotors are actually nice looking, considering they're only stock replacements. The black painted hats blend-in well with my black alloys. Hopefully, this set will last longer than my previous set.
